What we do
Scoring is one thing. Turning those scores into a result you can publish, defend if it is questioned, and tie to every candidate's scorecard is another. That second task is result processing.
We take the verified scored data from your examination — whether from our own OMR scanning or from another OMR, OSM or CBT system — and turn it into your official, fully audit-trailed result.
We process results for:
- University semester examinations — final marks files, grade-conversion, transcript-ready data
- Recruitment examinations — final scored merit lists, cut-off application, reserved-category lists
- Entrance examinations — ranked merit list for counselling
- Board examinations — pass/fail status, grade allocation, certificate-ready data
- Hybrid examinations — combining OMR + OSM scores, or CBT across multiple shifts
How it works
Receipt of scored data. It may come from our own OMR scanning or from another OMR, OSM or CBT system. How you need the final result delivered shapes how we take it in.
Marking scheme. Positive marks, negative marks, section weights, rules for unattempted questions — applied the same way for every candidate. The scheme is fixed at contract stage and locked before any score is calculated.
Normalisation across shifts. When an examination runs across several shifts or days with different papers, some papers prove slightly harder than others. Normalisation evens that out, so all candidates sit on one fair merit list. You choose the method (percentile, equipercentile or IRT); whichever it is, the same calculation is applied to everyone, and every step can be audited.
Cut-offs. Sectional, aggregate, reserved-category — all to your rules. Any candidate who misses a cut-off is flagged in the file, with the reason.
Ranking and merit list. Candidates are ordered on your criteria — score, tiebreakers, category — and the list is prepared for counselling, selection, or the next stage.
Verification before release. Before any result file is released, we select 50 candidates at random and re-calculate their scores by hand from the raw data. If even one does not match, nothing is released until it is resolved.
Full audit trail. Every score, every normalisation step, every cut-off and tiebreaker is logged and provided to you as a standard report. If a candidate questions a result months later, the entire calculation can be reproduced from the raw data.
Delivery. In whatever format your result system requires — Excel, CSV, SQL, or a direct API feed — with the audit trail alongside.

What sets the work apart
The calculation can always be re-checked. Every candidate's score can be rebuilt from the raw data and the marking scheme. So months later, if a candidate challenges a result, the audit trail answers it clearly.
A manual re-check before release. On every batch, we manually re-calculate 50 candidates before the file is released. The hour it takes is what saves the month it takes to recover from a mistake once it has been published.
Configurable to any marking scheme. Negative marking, sectional and reserved-category cut-offs, normalisation methods, tiebreakers — all set to your policy. Nothing is forced into a one-size-fits-all template.
Audit trail by design. The record is built as the work runs, so the conducting body can hand it straight to its external auditors without needing us in the loop.
Pairing with our OMR service. If the OMR scoring is also ours, the data flows internally and the result file is ready faster. The audit trail then covers the full pipeline, from the scanned sheet to the published result.

Result processing is priced per-candidate, with tier breaks by volume. Pricing varies with:
- Marking scheme complexity (single-section vs. multi-section with normalisation)

FAQ
Q. Can you process results when we have done the scoring ourselves or used another vendor? Yes. We will accept the verified scored data in the format you have, validate it for completeness, and process it from there. This is offered as a service; it is not yet a common pattern in our contracts.
Q. How long after the examination can we publish results? Depends on the marking scheme complexity. For a standard 1 lakh-candidate single-shift recruitment exam with no normalisation, a result file can be ready within 48 hours of receiving the verified response data. Multi-shift normalised exams take longer because the normalisation calculation requires the full data set before it can run.
Q. What happens if the marking scheme has to change after the examination? Sometimes a question is challenged and the answer key is revised. We support revised-key re-runs with a complete audit trail showing the original calculation, the change, and the revised result. The conducting body decides the publication policy on revised results.
Q. Can you handle reserved-category cut-offs? Yes. Every Indian recruitment and entrance examination involves them. The cut-off rules are configured at contract stage. Every candidate's status against every cut-off is in the result file.
Q. What's the audit trail for? Months after results are published, candidates sometimes file representations or RTIs asking how their score was calculated. The audit trail lets the conducting body answer those representations definitively — without needing us in the loop.
